Step by step guide on how I go about embroidering hats:
What you’ll need
• Snapback Hat (I used a YuPoong 6 Panel Snapback)
• Embroidery Machine (I used my Babylock Emp6)
• Tearaway Backing
• Digitized Embroidery File (I use .dst files)
• MightyHoop Frame
Instructions
- I run a flat sample to ensure quality
- Change to the hat frame on the machine
- Have the hat frame on the hat hoop
- Put tear away backing first then the hat
- Strap in the hat and I use a clip on each side to hold the hat in place
- Trace the design to make sure it is centered
- Let the machine do its thing
- Put the hat frame back on the hoop
- Unclip the clips
- Remove the hat to remove the backing
- Start cleaning up the embroidery on the hat
- Take photos for business portfolio (social media – instagram @official_blvcklabel)
- Off to Shipping. I use a 6x6x8 box from Uline.
